The Mini DisplayPort cable standard are just like normal Displayport developed by VESA. It was launched by Apple and used in MacBook to replace the previous Mini-DVI, MacBook Air to replace Micro-DVI and MacBook PRO to replace DVI. This cable enables to connecting any Mini DisplayPort enabled laptops to a Mini DisplayPort monitor with Mini DisplayPort interface.
