While 40Gb Ethernet is an emerging technology, there are many options with QSFP+ to QSFP+ cables or for longer distances up to 10,000 kilometers using the LR4 transceiver. Dell also supports breaking out 40Gb QSFP+ ports using QSFP+ DAC Break Out Cables to split out each 40Gb port and connect up to four 10Gb SFP+ DAC connections.
